Round 5: Woodpecker Stages Rally, September 4Matt Edwards and Sam Collis extended their MSA English Rally Championship lead with Class E2 victory on the Woodpecker Stages Rally. The pair’s main rivals, Darren Pinchin and co-driver Karen Watts, retired after SS3 with an overheating engine but nonetheless retain second place in the championship. Meanwhile 18-year-old Ashley Sleights and Tom Hughes won the Rally First class for standard cars, with Pete Elkins and Andrew Joll once again taking maximum points in Class E5.
