Charity Karting Event for Chris Van Der Drift

Next week, Formula Fitness will be entering two three-man teams to a charity karting event at Daytona, Milton Keynes to provide support for injured driver, Chris Van Der Drift.Formula Fitness, the UK's leading organisation for training and looking after racing drivers, had worked with Chris in the past and after his horrific crash at Brand last month have been only too willing to lend their support to the cause.

The event has drawn the attention of several F1 stars, with Redbull's Mark Webber pledging his support and Karun Chandhok (Hispania Racing) and Fairuz Fauzy (Lotus) both entering teams.

Formula Fitness' six drivers will be:

Adam Christodoulou (Grand AM,USA) Riki Christodoulou (F.Renault, UK) Adriano Buzaid (F3, UK) Marcus Ericsson (GP2, EUR) Jon Lancaster (WSRenault, EUR) Oli Oakes (GP3, EUR)“We are there to take the honours” said Stewart Wild, the Human Performance Director and Team Manager for the event. “I think you will see a very special performance out there from our drivers. We wanted to put out a third team that included Sam Bird, Jonny Kane and Danny Watts, but driving commitments this weekend did not permit it unfortunately.”

The Formula Fitness team and their drivers will be donating signed sporting memorabilia for the auction at the end of the evening, and they will also be signing autographs and providing photo opportunities for members of public on the day.
