Davide Valsecchi ended up Race 2 of the 9th GP2 Main Series round of 2010 in 16th place at Monza. The Italian racer had a good start, but saw his chances for a positive result conditioned by a contact at the first chicane on Lap 3.

"I made a really good start - told Valsecchi - and I was sure that the car was much faster than yesterday. I was hoping to drive a great race, but when I started braking for the first chicane on lap 3, I realized that I had two battling cars in front. I kept the outside line on purpose, and when I was already braking the car of Piscopo moved to the left. I couldn't do nothing to avoid the contact. I'm sorry for Edoardo, who's a good friend, but It's been a race incident".

The next round for the GP2 Main Series will be at Abu Dhabi. The race, set to be held on November 13, 14, will round out the 2010 season.
