GRAHAM Drury has agreed a shock return to Birmingham - eight days after leaving the club in a cost-cutting measure.A mystery sponsor has stepped forward to enable Drury to resume his positions as promoter, general manager and team manager after it appeared his four-year spell at Perry Barr was over.Drury said: "I've agreed a two year deal with Tony Mole (club owner) and myself and my wife Denise are determined to give our supporters a season to be proud of in 2011."There has been a lot of negative stuff surrounding Birmingham of late, but everything is now in place for us to move forward and take the club into an exciting year of racing. I want the fans, management and sponsors to be proud of the team and I'm already in talks with a couple of new signings."

SCUNTHORPE promoter Rob Godfrey is hoping Finnish star Tero Aarnio can be part of a deal which would see Magnus Karlsson join rivals Berwick.The Bandits have confirmed they are in talks with Karlsson, and theScorpions are keen to take Bandits asset Aarnio who had a good spell at the Eddie Wright Raceway this season. Godfrey said: "Berwick spoke to me about Magnus and I said to them 'if you want to do a deal for Magnus, I'd like to do a deal for Tero.' "Tero was a revelation for us, he's got on really, really well at Scunthorpe and he loves the place. He's got some good friends at Scunthorpe and absolutely he wants to come back to us."

PETERBOROUGH No.1 Kenneth Bjerre is already a confirmed starter for the Showground side next season.The Danish star agreed terms for his fifth successive season with the Panthers over the weekend - and his younger brother Lasse is now also an asset of the club and will be loaned out to a Premier League team in 2011.Bjerre said: "I'm delighted to sign a new contract - I made it plain to everyone that I didn't want to ride anywhere else."I was as disappointed as anyone that we didn't win trophies this season and that's something to go for next year."

RICKY Ashworth is hoping to agree a new contract with Sheffield for what would be his tenth season with the club.The former Premier League Riders' Champion made his Tigers debut as part of their double-winning team of 2002, and he added further silverware this yearwhen partnering Josh Auty to the Premier League Pairs.Ashworth said: "I want to ride for Sheffield again next season. I don' treally want to go anywhere else and being back there is top of my list."It ended up being a good season for me and for the club. I had a few problems early on but sorted them out, got my head around it and we finished well."
