SCUNTHORPE track record holder Kenni Larsen is now a confirmed starter for the Ben Fund Bonanza on March 12.The 22-year-old Dane lowered the mark at the Eddie Wright Raceway to a time of 55.76 when racing for Newcastle against the Scorpions last May.Another name to be announced by organisers is Elite League title winner Ben Barker, adding to last week's trio of Chris Harris, Lee Richardson and Niels-Kristian Iversen.Meeting organiser Paul Ackroyd said: "Kenni and Ben will provide plenty of excitement. I am very busy at the moment talking to riders and we will have plenty more big names to announce."

AIDAN Collins is gunning for an indoor double after asking for the chance to race in the Telford ice spectacular next month.Collins won the Braintree Bonanza Short Track title over Christmas, an event which included Jason Crump who is on the comeback trail after his operation.Now Collins, the son of legendary former World No.2 Les, is determined to underline his claim to be the best indoor rider in the world.Telford co-promoter Graham Drury said: "Aidan actually contacted us and asked to be included because he feels he has a point to prove."He is claiming to be the best indoor rider in the world and he wants to prove that by winning at Telford. He's even used a car park close to his home which was iced over recently to get some practice in, that's how seriously the lad is taking it."

EASTBOURNE have announced the return of three members of last year's team for the new season.Joonas Kylmakorpi, Cameron Woodward and Simon Gustafsson will all be back at Arlington in 2011, and Kylmakorpi is set to join in a full transfer from Lakeside.Eagles boss Trevor Geer said: "Joonas is the key to the whole team building. We had such a wonderful team spirit last year and we wanted to keep the nucleus of that team. I expect Joonas to have an even better season this year."We are very pleased with the way team building is going and hope shortly to be a position to complete the side."

GREAT Britain international James Wright has joined Birmingham for the 2011 season.Wright is a Birmingham asset after club owner Tony Mole maintained his registration following his departure from Premier League Workington so he will race for the Cumbrians on loan as well as his parent club.Birmingham boss Graham Drury said: "James is a rider I have worked with before and I believe he has a fair amount of ability."It's fair to say, and I think James would admit this himself, that he hasn't quite hit the heights many people thought he could earlier in his career but there is still time on his side for that to happen."
