Masters Top Hat set for Oulton Park debut

Top Hat historic racing will make its Oulton Park debut this year with the opening historic race meeting in the UK for 2011 taking place at the fabulous Cheshire circuit on March 12th.

The event, which will form the opening Top Hat event of 2011, will run races for Masters Pre-66 Saloons, 1950s Oldies but Goldies, a 1970s Celebration race for touring cars and GT cars plus grids for World Sportscar Masters and Gentlemen Drivers.

Top Hat Event Manager James Beckett said: "We are delighted that we can start our season with a Masters first - our debut at Oulton Park. Many Masters competitors never get the chance to race here so we are really pleased that we can add something extra to their season, plus this will be the first historic race meeting of 2011 and is sure to be popular. By including WSM and Gentlemen Drivers grids we are giving owners a rare chance to race at Oulton Park and giving Oulton's loyal fans a welcome opportunity to see these cars in action. It should be a great day."

Beckett is working on other initiatives to kick off the season in style and more announcements will be made shortly.
