Historic automobile specialists, Fiskens, will begin the year in exciting fashion at Retromobile next week (2-6 February) with the world exclusive unveiling of a forgotten pre-war car.
The last two years have seen Fiskens set the standard of excellence at the event in Paris and 2011 is guaranteed to be no different, with no less than ten historic automobiles, including significant 1950s sport racers and 1960s GTs, scheduled to appear alongside the great pre-war example.
While the pre-war car’s exact details remain confidential, Fiskens have confirmed it will be the first time in over 30 years that this rare, mythical supercharged car will be seen in public. Sporting a unique body, it is a genuine barn find and the last un-restored example. With only four owners from new, most recently forming part of a significant American collection, it promises to be one of the stars of the show when revealed on Wednesday’s media day.
With ten cars, Fiskens will require its largest ever stand at the revamped five-day exhibition which, now in its 36th year, has become one of the largest and most eagerly anticipated of its kind in the world.
Managing Director Gregor Fisken confirmed that this year’s edition would be the company’s most impressive ever.
“We always aim to exhibit cars that are fresh to the market, often not seen by the public for many years; 2011 will be no exception. Every year we raise the bar and whilst I can’t yet reveal exactly what we’ll be exhibiting, I can confirm that, even by our standards, the list is impressive. We’re very, very excited."
Fiskens’ full list of automobiles set to appear at Retromobile will be announced the morning the show opens. Alternatively, view the exhibition for yourself by visiting Fiskens on stand J58.
