Top Hat announces mega value-for-money season

Masters Top Hat has confirmed its registration and entry fees for the 2011 season.

Registration fees have been pegged at £150 inclusive of VAT, a reduction of £45, with entry fees ranging from £350 for a 30-minute race and £425 for a 45-minute event. This is a reduction of up to £75 depending on the race length and doesn’t take into account the recent VAT increases.

Top Hat Event Manager James Beckett has welcomed the cost-saving move. “We are aware that money is tight and we need to acknowledge that in what we are charging competitors. We want to give them value for money and we are doing that by offering longer races than other clubs, racing at leading UK circuits plus the opportunity to race at Spa and Porto, paddock hospitality for all competitors and a friendly atmosphere. Top Hat recognises that drivers are customers and not just competitors.”

The opening Top Hat meeting of 2011 is a first for the historic organiser as it travels to Oulton Park for the first time and will kick off the historic motor racing season in style with a busy six-race programme boasting a 40-minute race for World Sportscar Masters, a 75-minute race for Gentlemen Drivers Pre-1966 GT cars, Pre-66 Touring Cars (45 minutes), a 30-minute race for Oldies but Goldies and XK Challenge cars plus the 1970s Celebration Race for GT and touring cars, plus a 15-minute race for FF1600 single-seaters.
