The second edition of the Grand Prix de Pau Historique, on 14 and 15 May, is packing the house with an audience ofclassic car models from all over Europe.Delahaye takes the jewel of Pau out of American Peter Mullin’s Museum Major motor sport actor with victories in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the MonteCarlo Rally or the Grand Prix de Pau, Delahaye, the famous French brand will hold a place of honour in the paddocks. For the occasion, René Dreyfus’ Delahaye 145 V12, victorious at the Grand Prix de Pau in 1938 will be present. Quite an event as the prize‐winner will be back in France for the first time in 30 years, temporarily leaving the museum of great American collector, Peter Mullin.
The Club Delahaye will pay tribute to this emblematic model by presenting twenty of so models of the time: Delahaye 135, 134, 235, 148… all the expertise of the Tourangelle Company will be on show!
The latter will have the privilege of parading in the streets of Pau before the Trophée Légende, grid which gathers themain rivals of the time:
Bugatti 35, 37, 51, Alfa Romeo 8C, Amilcar C6, Delage D6, Era, Lagonda V12 or again Talbot Lago T26.
And the Club will bring another surprise. In preparing the event, the members found an exceptional document: the film of the 1938 Grand Prix de Pau. An occasion for all enthusiasts to relive one of the greatest moments in the history of French motor sports.The Grand Prix de Pau Historique : a Big Club meeting.The Jaguar Enthusiasts' Club will take advantage of the event to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the E Type Jaguarand the Club Bugatti France, with no less than 15 pre‐war models entered in competition, will certainly honour its ranks.Faithful from the start, the Morgan Club de France, the Club Lotus France and the Mustang Passion France have between them, over 200 cars.The local Clubs will also be represented with the Alfa Romeo Club du Sud‐Ouest and the Club Porsche Aquitaine.Anxious to offer as much diversity as possible, the Grand Prix de Pau Historique will also welcome multi‐brand Clubs including the SAPAR and the ACBB Historique or again other high quality clubs like the Amicale Facel Vega
