Nordea International and Masters Historic Racing announce 3 year sponsorship

Masters Historic Racing is excited to announce a three-year sponsorship agreement with Luxembourg based Nordea Bank S.A.

Nordea is a well-established European bank with more than 33,000 employees and approximately 1,400 offices. The bank is known for its strong performance through the financial crisis and for its Nordic values-based advisory capabilities.

The agreement will see Nordea supporting all Masters 3-day Festivals in 2011, and will include on-track activity and a number of off-track social events aimed at increasing the social side of Masters Historic Racing. In addition, Nordea will work with Masters to raise the profile of the private banking sector of historic racing.

To facilitate the sponsorship agreement, Masters have appointed a Liaison Officer in the form of new-starter Hamish Cook who will be based in the Masters office and present at all Masters Festivals working closely with Nordea to ensure the success of the partnership.

Masters Event Manager Rachel Bailey said: “We are thrilled to have secured this long-term association with Nordea which reflects our own aims and principles. To have such a successful brand committed to Masters is a major boost and we look forward to a successful partnership.”

Nordea Director Lars Alstrup: “After the successes of our association with Masters at the Iberian events at the end of last year, we were confirmed of the opportunities that the historic racing sector held for us.  We have been working with Masters over the winter to agree our sponsorship deal, and we are very excited to be planning our activities together during the summer months.”

The opening race meeting of the new partnership will be the Catalunya Classic Festival on April 8-10th at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona.
