Polish racer Damian Balinski has been handed the wild card for the FIM Fogo European Speedway Grand Prix in Leszno, Poland on April 30.
Balinski will don the No.16 race jacket for the first World Championship round of 2011.
The 33-year-old goes into the meeting with a wealth of experience around the Alfred Smoczyk Stadium circuit, having served as a Leszno rider since 1995.
He has also represented his country in the FIM Speedway World Cup and helped Poland become champions at Leszno in 2007.
Balinski is joined in the field by track reserves Patryk Dudek and Maciej Janowski, who will wear the No.17 and No.18 race jackets respectively.
The Polish youngsters will step in if any of the main 16 riders in the meeting are unable to take part in any of their heat races due to injury, illness or other reasons.
Both reserves competed in last year's World Under-21 Championship Final and Janowski picked up the silver medal following a tense run-off for the title with Darcy Ward and Maks Bogdanovs.
Janowski races for Polish club Wroclaw, Swedish outfit Piraterna and British Elite League team Swindon, and is the protégé of Grand Prix series stalwart Greg Hancock. Meanwhile, Dudek rides for Zielona Gora in the Polish Ekstraliga.
The referee for the meeting will be Great Britain's Craig Ackroyd, who makes his SGP series debut.
