The 10th edition of the Grand Prix de Pau Historique will be held on 14 and 15 May. After a two year absence, the classicmeeting is back in a new yearly version. From Friday 13 May, the finest historic cars will set up in the streets of Pau: seven grids, 200 racing cars, 600 Club cars, two weeks dedicated to automobiles and dozens of activities.The Trophée Légende with its prewar cars has gathered a breathtaking grid with over 20 cars from the ‘30s built by the greatest manufacturers: Bugatti, Aston Martin, Delahaye or BMW.Two classic F1 grids are awaited in the Bearn city. The Trophée Argentin and its pre 61 front engine models, and the Trophée de Pau pre 66 single seaters, characterised by their rear engines.Formerly Formule Ford, the Trophée des Pyrénées will put single seaters, which made some of greatest champions between the ‘60s and the ‘80s, back on the track.The Trophée Junior will also participate in the show, bringing some legendary models built between 1957 and 1963: Lotus, Lola, Brabham, Cooper or other Ausper have already made an appointment with this Pau round.The Trophée Phil Hill - Sixties' Endurance is announced as one of the weekends highlights. More than 40 beauties will line up on the starting grid:
Ferrari 250GT Berlinetta, Alfa Romeo 1600GTA, Triumph TR4 or Morgan +4.The Grand Prix de Pau Historique will also welcome the Trophée Mini Classic for the first time. These 15 Mini Mk1s promise many exciting duels! The public will be able to enjoy the show off the track with the open‐air exhibition put on by the Clubs. Hundreds of collector cars will be invited to the Palais Beaumont Gardens to form an ephemeral museum for the week‐end. To be noted the exceptional presence of the Delahaye 145, winner at Pau in 1938.To celebrate the return of competition, the whole town has mobilized to offer two weeks of festivities to its residents and to visitors coming from all over Europe.The Grand Prix de Pau Historique will mark the beginning of the Grand Prix week with its many activities.
