(SPEEDWAY 1)PETERBOROUGH have unveiled a new-look line-up for 2012 - spearheaded by topDane Kenneth Bjerre, who returns from a year on loan to King's Lynn.Linus Sundstrom and Michael Jepsen Jensen return from the team whichcompleted this season, along with squad member Richard Lawson who doubles-upwith Kyle Newman.The Panthers have also brought in Olly Allen and Jesper B Monberg, withLasse Bjerre and Rene Bach sharing a position - and Trevor Swales is joinedas joint team manager by Jan Staechmann.Swales said: "We all know what happened last season, we just weren't goodenough away from home, and that's why we missed out on the play-offs. Thisyear we've built a team which we think and hope is going to challenge forsome away wins, and we certainly want consistency home and away."(SPEEDWAY 2)CHRIS Holder and Darcy Ward will both be back at Poole next season to leadthe Pirates' Elite League title defence.The spectacular Australian duo have formed a mighty combination at WimborneRoad, and Holder has been named as the new club captain.Promoter Matt Ford said: "I am absolutely delighted that both riders will beback with the club next season. They have both been adamant that stayingwith the club in 2012 was nothing to do with money. They have a terrificrapport at the track and want to be at Poole next year."When I spoke to Chris about the captaincy he said he would be honoured tobe given the job, although he realises he is taking over the mantle fromsome true great skippers from the past like Davey Watt, Bjarne Pedersen,Magnus Zetterstrom, Tony Rickardsson and Gary Havelock."(SPEEDWAY 3)COVENTRY have added a fourth signing for the new season with popular DaneKenni Larsen returning to Brandon.Larsen averaged 6.42 in his first Elite League campaign and joins ChrisHarris, Edward Kennett and Scott Nicholls in the Bees team.Co-promoter Mick Horton said: "I know exactly how popular Kenni was lastseason, and I'm listening to the fans. Kenni is excited about coming backand I'm excited about it too. First and foremost, we've got to makeBrandon a fortress."(SPEEDWAY 4)GLASGOW have named experienced James Grieves and UK newcomer Mason Camptonas team members for their Premier League defence next year.Grieves has won three league titles with the club and could go second intheir all-time scorers list in 2012, whilst Campton is a promising18-year-old Australian.Co-promoter Stewart Dickson said: "Mason is a rider that I have followedwith some interest over the past couple of years and have spoken to a lot ofpeople to see how he would go in Britain. The reports I have been gettingback have been very good and I am pleased that we have managed to land him."That gives us a good base to work from. Joe (Screen) and James will be agood spearhead for the team and we will now work out exactly the balance werequire to make our team successful again."(SPEEDWAY 5)NEWCASTLE have confirmed the return of crowd favourite Stuart Robson toBrough Park in 2012.Sunderland-born Robson first rode for the club back in 1993 and has had twospells in Diamonds colours since then, rejoining them at the start of lastseason.Co-promoter George English said: "We were thrilled when we had the chance totake on Stuart again for next season and I'm sure the fans will be just assatisfied with the news."Stu has always been seen as a thriller in the saddle and his inclusion inany team really increases the level of excitement and entertainment as hehas such a breath-taking style of racing that has the supporters on the edgeof their seats every time he takes to the track."(SPEEDWAY 6)SHEFFIELD have confirmed the departure of manager and co-promoter EricBoocock after four years in charge of the team.The club statement issued by club bosses Neil Machin and David Hoggart read:"Eric Boocock has decided not to represent the club as team manager andco-promoter in 2012 and hopes to enjoy his speedway from the terraces withless stress, after 50 years in the sport he deserves it."This will give Eric the freedom to fulfil his other motorcyclingcommitments and whilst it may be 'so long' to his direct involvement atSheffield it certainly won't be to British Speedway."The sport has been Eric's life and he is still as passionate now as he wasduring his racing days, we really do wish him well and sincerely thank himfor his contribution."
