Charlie Robertson To Star In Live Action At Autosport International

Rapidly rising motorsport star Charlie Robertson will be demonstrating his prodigious talent at the world-famous Autosport International Show at Birmingham's National Exhibition Centre (NEC) this Thursday, 12th January, and Friday, 13th January, in the adrenaline-fuelled Live Action Arena.Whyteleafe-based Charlie, who celebrated his 15th birthday on New Year's Day, took the car racing scene by storm last year during his maiden season in the Ginetta Junior Championship - concluding an incredible campaign as Vice-Champion with three wins and nine podiums. He then went on to claim two further victories in the end-of-year Winter Series.Fully expected to return for a title challenge in Ginetta Junior this year, ahead of any confirmation regarding his 2012 plans the teenage ace has been asked by Ginetta Cars to pilot a Ginetta G40 in the Live Action Arena as part of a specially organised demonstration by the manufacturer."I can't wait to get back in a car and have some fun at Autosport International", said Charlie, "It's a fantastic show, the true start to the motorsport year, and it's a real privilege to have been asked by Ginetta to be involved. I'm very grateful for the opportunity and really looking forward to it."Autosport International, which was inaugurated in 1991, is the world's greatest motorsport show and regularly attracts huge names. This year, former Grand Prix racer and BBC Formula One pundit David Coulthard will be among the stars in attendance along with current F1 ace Paul Di Resta and Le Mans legends Allan McNish and Tom Kristensen.Alongside displays celebrating Britain's past rallying heroes and one commemorating the great Ayrton Senna, there will be countless stalls and stands providing an insight into every aspect of motorsport. One of the biggest highlights though will be the Live Action Arena - the UK's largest indoor race track - which is backed in 2012 by popular Channel 5 motoring programme Fifth Gear.
