(SPEEDWAY 1)SHEFFIELD co-promoter David Hoggart believes Australian youngster HughSkidmore has a key role to play for the new-look Tigers this season.21-year-old Skidmore, who first joined the club in mid-2009, achieved anaverage just below six last year and is one of only two of the side whofinished as Premier League runners-up to return to Owlerton.Hoggart said: "We've seen Hugh progress from an unknown rookie to a solidsecond-string in a couple of years, and it was felt that 2011 would be theyear when he upped his game."There were high spots and low ones as well, but he did improve his average.He's a great little rider on his day and we expect him to step up and findthat consistency in 2012. He'll have learned a lot from last term."(SPEEDWAY 2)GLASGOW newcomer Mason Campton says the presence of several fellowcountrymen at Ashfield will be a benefit in his first season of PremierLeague racing.Australian duo Campton and Jayden O'Malley have both joined the reigningchampions over the winter and face a tough baptism as they will start in theTigers' top five.Campton said: "I simply can't wait for it all to take off. What really helpsme is that I will be staying with Josh (Grajczonek) and Jayden, and we willall be able to work together and that should help the team."In a perfect world I would be starting at reserve, but hopefully I can pickup plenty of experience in the opening few months. I have ridden the trackbefore quite a few times and that will be a great boost for me."
