Chance to ride on the world stage in the KTM European Junior Cup at Silverstone offered
KTM UK is offering one young racer the opportunity to ride at the World Superbike round at Silverstone in the exciting KTM European Junior Cup(EJC) support series at no charge.
Similar to what the KTM-powered Red Bull Rookies series delivers at MotoGP, the KTM EJC has been conceived to allow talented riders aged14-19 the opportunity to develop their skills on some of the most legendary racing circuits as an official support series to the Superbike WorldChampionship.
The teenage racers compete over eight rounds on the new 2012 690 Duke all in identical race trim, ensuring equal competition and allowing the mostpromising riders to shine.
The Silverstone event (August 3-5) is the sixth round in the series and KTM UK is offering the chance for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to oneyoung emerging British rider with entry into the race to showcase their talents. Provided at no cost will be a race ready machine complete withtyres, fuel, entry fees and all passes required for the weekend.
The rider is required to bring at least one mechanic, pay for any crash damage (though the bike is fitted with crash protectors) and also maketheir own transport and accommodation arrangements for the weekend.
To qualify for the ride, racers need to be available for the entire duration of the event, be aged between 14-19 at the time of the event and hold anACU national licence – required to get a one-event European Union of Motorcycling (UEM) licence (issued by the ACU with a completed eyesighttest and medical).
