Dix Mille Tours, Down to Provence‏

The Dix Mille Tours is now one of the major classic events. After only two years of existence this 100% historic meeting on the Paul Ricard circuit is a key weekend for all historic car lovers. Since 2010, the Provence event has attracted high-quality grids, hundreds of club cars as well as an Automobilia Village and entertainment for all the family. More than 10 000 spectators flock to the Dix Mille Tours during the three days.

The icing on the cakeOnce again, the Dix Mille Tours will close the historic racing season on 5-6-7 October. There are already five grids including two Classic Endurance Racing ones, the Trofeo Nastro Rosso, the Sixties Endurance, a newcomer: the Nineties' Red and the Group C. The presence of the Historic Formula One will be confirmed as soon as possible

Given its success; CER will again be split up into two grids to accommodate the many cars. Porsche 935, BMW M1, Lola T70 Ferrari 512 BBLM, the Toj SC 302 and the Howmet TX are among the machines that will be seen in action on the track.

The Trofeo Nastro Rosso and the Sixties' Endurance will be celebrating their second anniversary as these two championships were first held at the first Dix Mille Tours. This year the Sixties' Endurance will be joined by the Grand Prix de Gstaad, raced every two years during the Dix Mille Tours.  For the first time, the third Dix Mille Tours edition will welcome the Nineties' Red grid of Ferrari F40s and 333SPs. This brand new category is a first among the by Peter Auto grids, by its single Ferrari composition, and the age of the cars as of date, the most recent grid went up to 1979. The owners of these racing machines of the early nineties -the F40, theCommendatore's ultimate masterpiece, born twenty five years ago and the 333SP, whose chassis was a base for the F50, will have the opportunity to meet, maybe for the first time, and affront each other - GT versus Sportscar, V8 versus V12- in a high quality meeting, governed by strict quality and fair play rules. The five by Peter Auto grids will be accompanied by the Group C cars of which the Silver Arrow, the Sauber-Mercedes is one of the emblematic models. The Group C, a part of this meeting since its creation, will be joined by other grids. The Clubs FestivalEvery year, the Dix Mille Tours meeting welcomes hundreds of Club cars and many have already announced their presence in 2012. Club Lotus France, Club Caterham, Mustang Passion France and the Morgan Club will hold one of their biggest gatherings of the year. The clubs, with a total of over 80 from the Var alone, will set up camp in the paddock. This year as the "Paradis Porsche" doesn't take place the same week-end we await an important Porsche delegation.

Once again the Dix Mille Tours will provide a perfect opportunity to finish the year on a high note on one of drivers and spectators favourite circuits.
