The Ennstal-Classic has become a cult event! - "Driving in the last paradise" - for cars built before 31 December 1972. The 21st edition will feature a new event - the RACECAR-TROPHY.

The RACECAR-TROPHY is an independent competition, which takes place on the three Ennstal-Classic days (Thursday 18 to Saturday 20 July), at three locations in and around Grobming (where the paddock is situated).

Organisers Michael Glockner and Helmut Zwickl developed the RACECAR-TROPHY for those who are of the opinion that the Ennstal-Classic is too long, but want to drive their historic racing-jewels and rallye-cars in a sprint-competition.

Unlike at the Ennstal-Classic, formula-racecars, racing-twoseaters, prototypes and GTs until 1982 are eligible. The competition includes:

one warm-up run and two mountain-challenges on the Stoderzinken (8.4 km) on Thursday; one competition on the airfield at Niederoblarn (1,5 km) on Friday; two runs on the 5.2-km long Dachstein-road on Friday; and one mountain-sprint from Moosheim to Grobming (2.4 km) on Saturday.

Early entries for the RACECAR-TROPHY (entries close on 31 March 2013) show how elite the starting field will be, including as they do: Porsche Carrera GTS 904, Maserati 4CL Grand Prix, McLaren M12 Coupe, Lotus Racing-Elan, Lancia Stratos HF.

As for the Ennstal-Classic (entries close on 28 February 2013), 150 registrations have already reached our office and the number grows every day.
