GLASGOW boss Sean Courtney praised his teams fighting spirit after they completed a tough weekend with a home win on their first outing at Ashfield. The Tigers got the better of Berwick 46-43 with James Grieves top-scoring on 13 points despite suffering a suspected broken foot in an early-match crash.Courtney said: I cant speak highly enough of them. Weve had a tough weekend and learned lots of things about each other and how to deal with a variety of circumstances, and this will stand us in good stead for the season ahead. Our supporters turned out and really backed us today, and we simply had to reward them with an opening day win. Berwick put us under pressure early on and we were always playing catch up, however we turned the tide in the second half of the meeting when it counted.
