POOLE have recalled Dennis Andersson as a temporary replacement for the injured Robert Miskowiak.Andersson rode for the Pirates in 2011-12 before suffering a broken femur in the closing stages of last season, and he will return in time for Wednesdays home clash with Wolves as Miskowiak has undergone an operation on a thigh injury.Poole promoter Matt Ford said: Dennis is really looking forward to coming back to Poole. He was devastated to have been forced to miss the end of last season and I know he is really keen to go out and there and prove to one and all just what a capable rider he is.Dennis knows that we will be respecting Robert's contract when he is fully fit and this arrangement is only for a limited period, but it does put him in the shop window again.(SPEEDWAY 2)

WOLVERHAMPTON moved up to second in the Elite League table after a convincing 56-36 win over local rivals Coventry.Tai Woffinden and Freddie Lindgren both scored maximums for the Monmore club whilst Adam Skornicki and Ty Proctor also gave impressive performances.Proctor said: Im really impressed with Mondays result, and for me its all about rolling back the clock and going back to 2009 when everything was working out. I was doing both leagues, Elite and Premier, back then, and Im very focused and determined to make things happen this year. It has to be my best performance here at Wolverhampton for a couple of years I would say.

BELLE Vue romped to a 54-39 win over Peterborough at Kirkmanshulme Lane to race up to fourth place in the Elite League table.New No.1 Matej Zagar led the way as he was unbeaten by a visiting rider to finish with paid-12 from four rides, while Artur Mroczka won his first three races to finish with ten.Aces team manager Jason Attwood said: Zagar is really looking the part at No.1 and I am sure he will only get stronger as he gets more and more meetings under his belt. But its no good having a good No.1 if the rest of the team arent giving him the right support. And we have managed to do that for the second week in a row following our win over Coventry last week.

COVENTRY Storm youngster Oliver Greenwood is facing a lengthy period on the sidelines with a badly broken wrist.Greenwood crashed when guesting for Scunthorpe at Newcastle in the Premier Shield on Sunday and is now awaiting word from consultants.Storm co-boss Laurence Rogers said: Its a bad break. They operated on Sunday night to wire it up, and now Olly has to keep his arm up in the air.His footrest seemingly got caught in fence and the clutch lever was bent right round and it looks like that was what broke the wrist. Its such a shame for him, I think he would have been challenging for our No. 1 spot this year.
