David Witt and Jordan Witt to compete in the Chevron GT4 and GT3 at the opening round of the GT Cup Championship
Chevron Cars Limited is gearing up for the opening round of the 2013 GT Cup Championship, by announcing the teams support this season for the highly beneficial Forces Motorsport Charity, Mission Motorsport.
With more than 25 cars on the grid at Donington this weekend (27 28 April), among them being David Witts Chevron GT4 and Jordan Witts Chevron GT3, 2013 promises to be the biggest year yet for the GT Cup series, which boasts an impressive entry list of supercars from an array of prestigious marques.
As the GT Cup grows in stature as a domestic championship, Chevron has taken the opportunity to introduce Mission Motorsport to the series and assist in building awareness for the charity through the sport.
Mission Motorsport branding will appear on all entrants cars at each round of the GT Cup this year, and Major Jim Cameron, Founder and Director of the charity, will be present in the paddock at Donington with wounded, injured and sick service personnel as beneficiaries of Mission Motorsport.
David Witt, owner of Chevron Cars Limited, commented: Its a great association that we are developing with Mission Motorsport, and a fantastic charity to support. We will be welcoming service personnel into our team garage this weekend, and look forward to having members of Mission Motorsport working with us throughout the season.
Former Army Major, Adam Marchant-Wincott, Relationship Manager at Mission Motorsport, said: The guiding principle behind Mission Motorsport is to seek, through the automotive and motorsport industries, vocational opportunities to try and provide hope and a bright and exciting future for wounded, injured and sick personnel.
All at Mission Motorsport offer their deepest gratitude to Chevron and the GT Cup organisers for this chance to support serving, and former serving, armed forces personnel in conjunction with this championship
