Masters reschedules Ronnie Peterson Trophy race
Masters Historic Racing has confirmed that it will reschedule its Ronnie Peterson Trophy for Formula Ford 1600 cars. The race was due to have run at Oulton Park in March but was a victim of the snow that fell and forced its postponement. The race will, therefore, be part of the annual Masters Historic Festival at Brands Hatch (May 25th-27th) and will run on the Indy circuit as part of the Saturday raceday. All those entries that were received for the original Oulton Park date will be valid for Bands Hatch and Masters is working with the Classic FF1600 Championship to attract a good grid of Pre-1990 cars. Masters Event Manager Rachel Bailey said: We are pleased to have been able to find space in the timetable for the Ronnie Peterson Trophy for FF1600 cars. It is the perfect place to run such a race, with Brands Hatch being the spiritual home of FF1600 and the Indy circuit will be a great venue for some cracking racing. It will certainly start off our weekend in style. The Masters Historic Festival runs from May 25th-27th, headlined by the FIA Masters Historic Formula One Championship and the FIA Masters Historic Sports Car Championship.
