POOLE promoter Matt Ford says team changes look likely after seeing his side slip to the bottom of the Elite League table. The Pirates have reached the play-off Grand Final in four of the last five years but face a catch-up job to finish in the top four in 2013, and have been further hampered by the serious shoulder injury suffered by No.1 rider Darcy Ward.Ford said: I have gambled once with a change and it didn't happen, my next move must be the right one for the club. If that means a new restructure to the side than that is what we will have to do.Unfortunately though it could mean that I may have to take riders out of the side who do not deserve to be rested, and that is the hardest thing about this job. I will be confronting some very tough decisions in the next few days.(SPEEDWAY 3)

DRAW specialists Scunthorpe made it an incredible third 45-45 result from four Premier League matches as they finished all-square at Glasgow on Sunday. The reigning champions found themselves 37-41 down with two heats to go but secured a 5-1 in the penultimate race from Lewis Blackbird and Ashley Birks, with home skipper Joe Screen winning a shared final heat.Scunthorpe promoter Rob Godfrey said: Having dropped five points in our opening three home PL matches, I set the team a target of winning at least three away meeting this season, if we are to make the play-offs. We didnt quite get one of those wins today, but an away draw is almost as good. Its very odd having drawn three out of our opening four Premier League meetingsIve never known a start to a league campaign quite like it. Were actually unbeaten in the league at the moment, despite having won just one meeting out of four!
