EASTBOURNE boss Trevor Geer is expecting the Eagles to face one of their toughest tests of the season when Swindon visit Arlington on Saturday. The Robins dropped home points with a defeat against Birmingham on Thursday but top Danish duo Hans Andersen and Peter Kildemnad will be back for the trip to Sussex.Geer said: We seem to say this a lot in this sport, but matches really dont come any tougher than the one we face on Saturday against the Robins, especially in the light of Adams (Shields) unfortunate departure in the last few days. They are stacked with riders who know our track well and have all scored big points here. Our riders know just what to expect, however, and we know only too well what they are capable ofwe have every confidence that they will pull together to cover Adams absence.(SPEEDWAY 3)
WORKINGTON have been forced to call for re-enforcements ahead of their Premier League clash with Glasgow at Derwent Park on Saturday. The Comets, already without injured duo Tero Aario and Chris Mills, are without Kyle Howarth and Ashley Morris who are representing Great Britain in the semi-finals of the World Under-21 Team Cup in Poland, but their regular top three are all available.Owner Laura Morgan said: I am sure our three guests will do a good job to minimise the absence of our injured riders and those who are on international duty. Both Micky Dyer and Jozsef Tabaka are in fine form and have done a sterling job for us when called upon already this year, while Lewis Kerr is having a great first season in the Premier League with Newcastle, and of course he rode extremely well in the TV match at Berwick earlier this week.(SPEEDWAY 4)
