Silverstone has confirmed the addition of the Formula Grand Prix Masters and Group 4 Sports Cars for the inaugural Silverstone Historic Tribute on the first weekend in June (Friday 4th – Sunday 6th June, 2004).
These latest additions to an already packed line-up will create an almost unbroken line of racing machinery from the 1920s to the 1970s, representing six decades of racing nostalgia. The Formula Grand Prix Masters and Group 4 Sports Cars will provide the icing on the cake for this exciting line-up of 18 races covering all the great marques of motoring including Ferrari, Maserati, Brabham, Lotus, Porsche, Aston Martin, Surtees, McLaren, Bentley, Alfa Romeo, MG and Jaguar to ensure an unforgettable weekend for all the family With an open paddock, the Silverstone Historic Tribute will truly be “access all areas”, allowing spectators unparalleled access to the cars, teams and drivers.
In addition the participating clubs will be bringing a host of mouth-watering cars to display, complementing the on-site entertainment and activities supplied by Silverstone. Tickets for the Silverstone Historic Tribute are now available from only £9 (£10 on the day), or £18 (£20 on the day) for all three days – that’s a 10% discount when booked in advance - with children aged 15 and under able to attend free of charge*. This includes free seating in any of Silverstone’s grandstands** and free on-site parking for all ticket holders. Andrew Waller, Managing Director of Silverstone Motorsport Ltd, commented,
