Wilton Classic and Supercar

4th AUGUST 2013 - THE ESSENTIALS 

■Held in the grounds of Wilton House, ancestral home of the Earl of Pembroke, Wilton Classic and Supercar (WCS) is now in its fifth year. ■Run by enthusiasts, for motoring enthusiasts, the WCS team is led by William Pembroke, 18th Earl, a self- confessed petrolhead and lover of both classics and supercars. ■WCS brings together some of the best production supercars with gems from the classic world in a family friendly garden party setting. ■The parade of more than 150 supercars featuring marques such as Bugatti, Pagani, Ferrari, Mclaren and Aston Martin is a highlight of the show. ■In front of Wilton Houses south faade, on the South Lawn, visitors can get up close to some rarely seen classics including the 1964 Facel Vega II whose first owner was Ringo Starr, a Jaguar E Type 9600 HP, and a Series 1 right hand drive Periscopico Lamborghini Countach 1979 ■Away from the supercars and classics, all the major UK manufacturers are represented, showing their latest models and ranges of cars. ■A timeline of 100 Aston Martins is joined by race cars from the companys collection, together with many Aston owners from the Aston Martin Owners Club. ■Wilton House, with its world famous art collection and Palladian interiors is open on the day to Premium ticket holders. ■A childrens area, centred around the Adventure Playground, features an Austin J40 roundabout and magic shows throughout the day. ■Further attractions  include the Bold Dog stunt bike team, a helicopter acrobatic display from RN Yeovilton, steam engines, segways and simulators. ■There will be plenty of food stalls, a beer tent and ample space for picnics throughout the park.
