COVENTRY promoter Mick Horton has billed the visit of Poole on Friday as the biggest meeting of the season at Brandon. The Bees have won their last five home matches whilst the Pirates returned to play-off contention with away wins at Eastbourne and Belle Vue, and include Darcy Ward for his first Elite League match back from injury.Horton said: Its one meeting that every Coventry fan looks forward to, and to be fair Im sure the Poole fans do as well, so were expecting a big crowd especially as the weather is looking good.We need all of our boys to be up for this one, which Im sure they will be, and our boys can beat Ward and (Chris) Holder. We need KK (Krzysztof Kasprzak), Scott (Nicholls) and Zengi (Grzegorz Zengota) to take points off them, thats the key.

MILDENHALL chairman Kevin Jolly admitted there was no stopping 15-year-old sensation Robert Lambert as the Fen Tigers were beaten 52-40 at Kings Lynn on Wednesday.Lambert romped to a 21-point maximum with his side securing maximum points from the meeting thanks to a 4-2 and 5-1 in the last two races, whilst Josh Bates top-scored for the visitors with 12+1.Jolly said: We should have had a point tonight, we certainly deserved it no doubt. Sadly mechanical problems for Dan (Halsey) and a few little mistakes elsewhere cost us dear. I am proud of the lads though, there is a strong team spirit amongst them, they never lie down and keep battling all the way. Young Lambert is a special talent for sure, and there is little that you can do against such a powerful reserve.
