GLASGOW have signed Danish Under-21 international Anders Thomsen as they bid to end a run of eleven straight defeats.19-year-old Thomsen has joined the Ashfield club as a replacement for Jonas Raun and will make his debut at Somerset on Friday.Tigers boss Sean Courtney said: Anders rode in Poland in the European final and beat a few good ones there. He was the World 80cc Champion three years ago. He came back from an injury this year and hes got going pretty good, so he sounds like a good talent to get.Hes only 19 so we feel like the potential is there. STOKE boss Malcolm Vasey says he will not get carried away by the Potters 48-45 win at Kent on Monday.Vaseys side ended a disappointing run of results with victory in the final National Trophy fixture of the season with Kyle Hughes top-scoring on 13 points as they finished third in the table behind Isle of Wight and Mildenhall.Vasey said: We took the lead in the early stages of the meeting despite missing Luke (Chessell) who was caught up in traffic and we maintained the lead throughout which was very pleasing. Having said that, Kent have not beaten anyone so far this season and we will not let it cloud our judgmentyes, it was very pleasing to win, but it still does not iron over the cracks that we have.
