A thirty three car grid will assemble on Saturday to take part in the two sprint races to bring a very successful season to a close.Alex Martin claimed the GTC group title at Snetterton and currently leads the overall rankings just ahead of GTA group runner Jeff Wyatt. Jeff also sealed the GTA title at Snetterton but is hungry for more silverware. With such a large grid however he will have plenty of opposition. Walker Motorsport, Hoffman Motorsport and Andrew Bentley and Adrian Leicester will all be debuting their Lotus at the East Midlands track joining regulars Don Grice, Darren Nelson and the always quick Ben Tomkins.GTO is set to be competitive with ten entries. Kevin Riley has already sealed the championship but Iain and Chris Dockerill have been very fast in the second half of the season and will be competitive. Jacque Duyver has really excelled this year in the Ferrari 458 and will step up to GTO with crack team AF Corse for this race. He will be joined by 2013 debutant Tim Hood in the TVR Sagaris. The Barwell Motorsport run BMW Z4 of Ron Johnson and Marco Attard will return to avenge the disappointment they experienced at Silverstone in August. Sean Winder is back in the JMH run Ferrari 430 as is 2012 champion Derek Johnston. Derek won the opening race of the GT Cup season at Donington in a Ferrari but will contents the race in his new Ginetta G55 GT3.Ian Loggie and Chris Jones will be hoping for a winning performance to lift the GTB group title but Dan Stringfellow is close behind and Mike Sellar is still in with a mathematical chance of the title. Chris Randell will be back in his Lotus Exige after missing Snetterton and also out for glory so all is to play for around the classic East Midlands track.GT Cup will be collecting funds from drivers and guests and making a donation to the Race Marshals Fund.
