and MJW Kick KawasakiAfter winning the British MXY2 Championship, Rob Davidson was hoping to lift the Rookie Red Bull title at the final round at Culham for the MJW Kick Kawasaki team. It was a long shot and even though he was unable to achieve it he took a fantastic second place in the Championship for the team and rounded off a fantastic year.Rob Davidson - "I was extremely looking forward to the final round of the Red Bull Championships at the weekend and also a track I like and feel comfortable at. I was in with a shot at the title and I really wanted to go well there.The Culham track was in perfect condition for racing and everything was ready to go apart from my starts again. I just couldn't get myself out of the gate and this left me coming back through the pack for all the races and crashing out a couple of times in the process also.It wasn't the best weekend I have had this year but it certainly wasn't the worst and to finish second in the Championship for me has been a good end to a successful season. I gave it everything this weekend but it just wasn't to be but good motivation for next year now.The help I have had this year from everyone has been great especially Mark at MJW Kick Kawasaki, it's been brilliant and I can't wait to get going again for the team next season. I must give a big shout out to Dan Thornhill and congratulate him on winning the Championship, he is one of the most consistent guys out there hands down, well done Dan!I have to thank everyone who has supported myself and the team this year it really has been brilliant and I've really enjoyed it. Roll on next season!"Will Keogh returned to the track this weekend after sustaining a nasty shoulder injury in a training accident. He ended the weekend in 31st overall over the five races.Will Keogh - "I headed into Culham not fully knowing what to expect from my own riding as it was the first time back after my shoulder injury. The first race and qualifying went ok but I still had to get into the flow after not doing anything for eight weeks. The second race I could put more into my riding as I began to gain a rhythm again but not being aware of the pace I crashed and then I suffered a bike problem and was forced to pull out.I was able to pick up more speed over the next three races and felt much better on the bike every time I went out which put me in a fairly good but not brilliant overall position for the weekend. I was happy with my performance and I used the weekend as a good test to see where I was at for the off season so I can work hard on my training.A big thanks to all my sponsors this past year, its been absolutely amazing and I look forward to next years season."Team Owner Mark Woodage - "Rob has done fantastic job this season, winning the MXY2 Maxxis and now runner up in the Red Bull championship, it's a great debut season for our team. It's been a mixed year, especially with it being our first season and finding our feet in the MX world, we managed to regroup after some mid-season problems and were able to win the British Championship and getting 2nd in the Red Bull Pro Nationals.
