MotoGP to remain in Malaysia until 2016

Dorna Sports, the organiser of the MotoGP world championship, has agreed a new deal with Malaysian authorities for a race in the country.

Ahead of this year's race on Sunday, the Sepang International Circuit has now reached agreement on a deal to stage a Grand Prix until 2016.

The Malaysian race has been a stop on the MotoGP calendar since the Sepang circuit, located an hour from downtown Kuala Lumpur and adjacent to KL's international airport, opened in 1999.

Carmelo Ezpeleta, the chief executive of Dorna, said: “To sign this agreement for the next three years is fantastic news for all parties involved in MotoGP.
