Virtuosi UK will field a 2-car line-up in the upcoming Auto GP test set to take place next week at Jerez. The British-based squad, which fielded Italian rookie Andrea Roda and experienced Russian Max Snegirev, continued on the same note in terms of criteria for their new drivers. So once again, behind the wheel will be a rookie, South African Liam Venter, the most interesting racing prospect from Africa, and an experienced man, Tamas Pal Kiss.
Venter was the man who brought the South African flag back to the podium at Monza after Jody Scheckter in 1979, as he delivered a strong performance in the European F.3 Open race. Pal Kiss, who will be lined up on the other Virtuosi UK car, also left a great impression in the second half of the 2013 Auto GP season.
Andy Roche: “Liam Venter's rapid progress in Motorsport has been inspiring, he has learnt such a lot this year in The F3 European Open series, I am convinced he will go well in the Auto GP tests in Jerez. He is still only 18 and ticks all the boxes required for a current day race driver. We are also really happy to be running Tamas, he has shown great potential this year and we feel that he will be a great asset to the team".
