After a season of domination on track, the prizes are now flowing for the Dunlop MSA Formula Ford Champion of Great Britain, Dan Cammish. Twenty-four-year-old Cammish has just taken delivery of his new road car, an EcoBoost-powered Ford Focus, and next week he will go behind the wheel of a BTCC Focus at a special test with Airwaves Racing.

Dan, who won 24 consecutive races in his JTR-prepared Mygale EcoBoost Formula Ford, was presented with the keys to his new road car by Gerard Quinn, Head of Ford Racing in Europe. Dan also picked up a cheque for £1000 - the Sky Ford Pole Position award - for his stellar efforts in qualifying which netted him 22 pole positions.

Next week Dan will be joined by Formula Ford championship runner-up Harrison Scott at Snetterton for the prizewinners’ BTCC test. Both young drivers will go behind the wheel of an Airwaves Racing Ford Focus to sample the power of one of the most successful British Touring Car Championship cars of the 2013 season.

FORMULA FORD SAMPLER DAYThe annual Formula Ford Sampler Day is the first step on the path for young drivers wishing to emulate Dan Cammish - it takes place on Tuesday 12 November at the Rockingham circuit in Northamptonshire. The championship ‘open day’ is an opportunity for prospective drivers to try the cars, meet the teams and find out more about what Formula Ford can offer them in their racing careers.

Prospective drivers, who must hold a racing or kart licence, will be able to test Formula Ford EcoBoost chassis in short track sessions.

Formula Ford personnel will be on hand throughout the day to discuss technical and sporting matters, paddock hospitality, media coverage and all other aspects of the championship. It is also a day for prospective teams to find out what part they can play in the championship.
