MJW Kawasaki 2014 Youth Project

MJW Kawasaki, winners of the MXY2 British Championship this year with Rob Davidson are pleased to announce their new look Pro and Youth teams for the 2014 season.17-year-old Rob Davidson from Sheffield will lead the squad in 2014, as he turns to the Pro level and he will be competing in the British Maxxis MX2 Championship and the other major British Nationals. Rob who has had a stunning year in 2013 winning the British MXY2 Championship, runner-up in the Red Bull Championship and topping of his season by winning the Youth race at the Weston Beach race is eager to continue his success in 2014.Rob Davidson - "I am really looking forward to racing in 2014 for MJW Kawasaki we have got year one over and now I know how hard I have to work for next season. I've learnt so much this season and it's been a great experience racing and working with all the sponsors and working with k-tech and getting the bike working really well. I'm happy to be working with them again next year and having one of the best people working on my engines with Mark, hopefully getting up to speed so I can run with the top boys next year and get some good results. The whole package with the MJW Kawasaki team is perfect for me and I know we will all work together next year to push in the right direction to be up at the sharp end of it all. I can't thank everyone enough for this season, especially my parents and Mark for all his long nights building my bikes!"Will Keogh was part of the MJW Kawasaki squad this season as a rookie and finished in the top 20 in the British Championship and he will continue with the team next season. He will be joined by Will Jeonney who rode a 150 this season in the big wheel 85 class, finishing third in the GT Cup and top ten in the Red Bull Pro Nationals. Both rider will compete in the British MXY2, plus most British Youth Nationals and will try and achieve and follow in the footsteps of Davidson.New to the team for next year is the MJW Youth Project, this is to help bring a 10-year-old and develop and help him/her move up through the ranks with the new amazing Kawasaki KX85, and then up onto the KXF250 in the hope to find the next British Champion.Heading the MJW Kawasaki Youth team is 13-year-old Dan Shepard, who will ride the KX85 in the big wheel national classes, he has won numerous club championships in the last four years and has been achieving some top 15 results in the Red Bull small wheel series, he finished second at the Hawkstone Park round to Jordan Eccles at the RRW big wheel class.Joining Dan will be 10-year-old Lewis Woods, he finished second in the GT CUP 65 class, he will be moving up to the small wheel class and will also be riding the new KX85. He will be teamed up with 10-year-olds Preston Williams and Brad Woodage, Preston was finishing in the top eight in the Red Bull series this year, and all three will make the step up to the new Kawasaki KX85.Preston Williams - "It's awesome to work with MJW Kawasaki, keeping my link with Kawasaki and working with Mark at MJW is the next step towards my goal of being a GP champion, working alongside Rob Davidson MXY2 champion is great as I can gain from his knowledge and experience, really looking forward to 2014 and riding the sw Kawasaki, can't wait!"Mark Woodage - Team Owner/Manager - "First of all it great to have Kawasaki UK support us again for next season and after winning the British Championship with Rob, I felt it was more relevant to support the Youth classes that deserved the opportunities and chances to become a Champion.
