NEWCASTLE have named their full side for 2014 – with six riders who competed for the Diamonds this year returning to the club next season.Ludvig Lindgren, Anton Rosen, Lewis Kerr, Chris Schramm, Stuart Robson and Christian Henry were all involved this year, with the latter two now set to make their comebacks from injuries which ended their campaign early. The Byker club have also snapped up Lewis Rose after impressive results for King’s Lynn Young Stars and in Premier League guest appearances, whilst former No.1 Richie Worrall was not considered due to his wish for Polish racing on Sundays and Andrew Tully will move on next year too.Co-promoter Darryl Illingworth said: “This is a great side eager for League success with a perfect balance of experience and youthful enthusiasm – and with our experiences of the last decade and more, this is a recipe that should bring silverware our way next season. The side has a familiar look and also has an air of success already running through it.”

RYE House have finalised the signing of Simon Lambert to complete their septet for the 2014 season. The Rockets required permission from Lambert’s parent club King’s Lynn which has now been forthcoming, and promoter Len Silver is bullish over the prospects for success at Hoddesdon.Silver said: “I'd like to thank Buster Chapman of King’s Lynn for his ready agreement for Simon to join us. While it was always known that Simon is extremely keen to be back in the Rockets side in order to prove to everyone that he is a much better rider than his scores of 2013 suggest, it could not happen without Buster's say-so.“We now have a team that can, I think, compete with the best: an outstanding No.1 in Eddie Kennett, a middle order that is the most exciting in the country and two reserves who can equal any others. I cannot wait for the new season to start.”
