STOKE promoter Dave Tattum has firmly quashed speculation that Lee Payne could be set for a move away from Loomer Road next season.Payne’s first year of National League racing saw him achieve a creditable 4.90 average, and Tattum expects him to build on that figure in 2014.He said: “Lee was a breath of fresh air, and other than dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s, which will happen any time now, he is the first name on our team sheet for next season. “He was like a beacon in what was for us a very disappointing season, but I have discussed matters with him and he is extremely keen to return and I expect to finalise the situation within the next few days. I am determined that the club will move forward from last season and be challenging for honours.”
