SAM Masters will line up in Edinburgh colours next season – twelve months later than originally planned!Australian rider Masters, a former Premier League Riders’ Champion, was all set to join the Monarchs in 2013 but ended up missing the entire campaign due to visa issues. He said: “I can’t wait! One year on! It might put you a year behind but it might put you a year ahead as well.“I might have to come a little bit earlier than normal this time to get prepared. I’ve only got one bike here in Australia. I had two last time I was in the UK but I sold them, so I’ll have to build some new ones. I did have other tracks contact me but it was Edinburgh I wanted.”

RYE House bosses are looking for support from local businesses as they contemplate a re-entry to the National League next season.Four of the Rockets’ senior team members for 2014 appeared for the Raiders in the third tier earlier in their careers, and the regular training days at Hoddesdon are producing plenty of talent.Rye House manager John Sampford said: “We now have some very interesting trainees, but we need to extend the possibilities for them.“There is only limited access at the moment for new riders in the National League. If we can bring the Raiders back, we would be creating an opening for four or five more youngsters to come in alongside some more experienced riders.”
