• Worldwide shows for Clarkson, May, Hammond and The Stig • Star-studded Festivals in both South Africa and Australia• Record crowd packs into PolandEven by its own stellar standards 2013 has been a meteoric year for Top Gear Live, the greatest motoring arena show in the world.Over the past 12 months the action-packed automotive-themed phenomenon has toured the world’s arenas. Spectacular performances fronted by the legendary TV show’s hosts Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May – together with driving legend ‘The Stig’ – have wowed sell-out audiences as far afield as Australia and South Africa as well as throughout Europe.For the first time, the globetrotting 2013 calendar included two special Top Gear Festivals, a unique format providing fans with a full day of high-octane entertainment. The team returned to Durban with an even bigger and better extravaganza that again combined the excitement of flat-out thrills on a custom-built street circuit, accompanied by a dramatic arena show. Staged in the iconic Moses Mabhida Stadium the glittering show featured all the exotic supercars, breathtaking stunts and crazy presenter challenges that have become so synonymous with the award-winning Top Gear on television.Further underlining the brand’s huge global appeal, Australia became the second country to host a Top Gear Festival, with the show taking over the Sydney Motorsport Park for a full weekend of madcap motoring antics, extraordinary lap records, high-flying stunts and often absurd challenges. What’s more, hosts Clarkson, May and The Stig were joined by a host of notable personalities topped by two true Aussie racing heroes – Casey Stoner and Mark Webber.Back in Europe, Top Gear Live arena shows performed to packed-houses in Moscow, Amsterdam and Antwerp… but it was one memorable September evening in Poland that conquered new peaks. A record-breaking crowd of more than 57,000 filled Warsaw’s impressive National Stadium making it the largest ever single-night Top Gear Live attendance.“It really has been a remarkable year once again confirming Top Gear Live as the world’s greatest motoring themed show,” says James Cooke-Priest, Chief Operating Officer of Top Gear Live. “The two fabulous Festivals in South Africa and Australia were truly incredible events while no one will ever forget the frenzy of that incredible night in Poland. Indeed they blast off later this month when Clarkson and company are back home in Britain for five sell-out shows at the dazzling new Hydro venue in Glasgow. Looking further ahead Top Gear Festivals are confirmed for both Durban and Sydney where world championship winning Infiniti Red Bull Racing’s new F1 star Daniel Ricciardo will be among those performing. And the Top Gear Festival special will be visiting Barbados in the West Indies.
