I will be working closely with the team to bring some success.“The riders we look like bringing in will give us a solid team and I’m itching to get started. ISLE of Wight shareholders have voted to put the club’s licence to run speedway on ice for at least a year.Former director Martin Newnham made the proposal, which was accepted by 47 votes to 8 after many differing views were heard during the meeting. The verdict means it is highly unlikely that the Islanders will enter the National League this year, although the club will not officially register their decision until the end-of-January deadline.Shareholders plan to meet again at the Smallbrook Stadium on October 14.(SPEEDWAY 4)
