COVENTRY Stadium owner Avtar Sandhu has guaranteed the future of speedway at the venue for the next three years.Greyhound racing at Brandon ceased this weekend following reports of the sale of the stadium, but the motorsports programme is set to continue as normal.Sandhu said: “The Coventry Bees and Brisca F1 stock cars are guaranteed to continue for the next three years regardless as to the ownership of the stadium, and during those three years I will be trying to secure an alternative site for a new stadium in the Coventry area.“All three sports have become something that I enjoy on a personal level and the respective fans have shown me a great deal of respect over the past twelve years. As such I want to ensure we do everything we can to see these sports continue.”

WORLD Champion Tai Woffinden will join the King’s Lynn Select side for their International Pre-Season Cup clash with top Polish club Zielona Gora.The match on March 19 will feature the majority of the Stars regulars, and Woffinden will team up for the night with fellow Grand Prix stars Niels-Kristian Iversen and Kenneth Bjerre.Lynn promoter Keith Chapman said: “I can’t wait for this fixture, it is great to be able to have such a huge meeting at the Norfolk Arena. We have been working with Team Player Management Company for weeks now and they have been fantastic to deal with.“The meeting deserves a huge crowd and I hope our supporters turn out in force and get behind our team. PLYMOUTH have secured a main team sponsorship deal with local training provider Skills Group.The company provides state-of-the-art training centres throughout the South-West and the Premier League club state the new arrangement will be of significant mutual benefit.Co-promoter Ashley Taylor said: “For a sporting team, the support from a company like Skills Group is invaluable.
