Be Wiser Kawasaki accounce 2014 Team

The British Superbike Championship is quickly approaching and the Be Wiser Kawasaki Team has announced  plans for the forthcoming season. Once again they will run a three man team, this year one rider in the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship and two riders in the Pirelli National Superstock 600 Championship.

The Be Wiser Kawasaki team will continue to run Josh Day in the National Superstock 1000 Championship. Josh had a good season in 2013 and finished 13th overall last year with his first year with the team and is looking to improve his results during the 2014 season.

Josh Day - "I'm very happy to be riding for the Be Wiser Kawasaki team again in 2014, it will be a huge boost for me as it's the first time in a few years I'm going into the season with nothing to think about other than going as quick as I can.

I know the guys in the team and the bike well now so we should be on the pace from the word go. I think that we can build on last season and with a bit more consistency we can be challenging at the front at every round. The Superstock 1000 Championship is always tough but I feel we can really do a job this year. I'd like to thank Alan, Paul & the whole Be Wiser Kawasaki team for putting their faith in me by resigning for this season. I just can't wait to get going now."

The team will also continue to run 21-year-old Nick Anderson in the National Superstock 600 class, Nick joined the team last year and was extremely consistent all season finishing the Championship in 11th place overall. He scored one podium at Cadwell Park and is eager for a good 2014 season with the Be Wiser team.

Nick Anderson - "I'm really excited to be joining the Be Wiser Kawasaki Team for a second year and I can't wait to start working with the team again and giving them 100%. I really enjoyed 2013 and the team are great to work with and now with my knowledge and experience and a great pre-season testing programme about to get underway before going to the first round will be a huge advantage. I hope to be as consistent as possible and to have more podiums by the end of the season."

2014 welcomes a new member to the Be Wiser Kawasaki Team, Joe Collier. Joe achieved some strong results in 2013 and will be hoping to step up the game when he joins the Be Wiser team this season. He secured five podiums last year and finished fourth in the overall Championship standings.

Joe Collier - "I can't wait to get started with the Be Wiser team, I spoke with them towards the end of last season and they were kind enough to give me a test run out at Donington. The bike felt great and I hope I will be able to adapt quickly to riding the Kawasaki as I've been on a Triumph for a couple of years now. The team seem great and I'm excited about going testing and then getting to Brands and hopefully get them all some good results."

Team Owner/Manager Alan Greig - "I am really looking forward to the 2014 season. Nick improved at every round last year and has been training hard over the winter months so for sure he is going to have a strong season. If he can start the season where he left off last year we are already on the right track.

Joe showed impressive form last year and impressed us all at the end of season test adapting to the four-cylinder ZX-6R straight away. Joe has been up to the team workshop in Lincoln over the winter watching (and helping) prepare the new bikes, which has been a great opportunity for the team to get to know Joe and we are all looking forward to working with him this year.

Josh had his ups and downs last season but showed his true form at several rounds. We have spoken a lot over the winter and will make a lot of changes to help Josh be more consistent this year. The whole team have a lot of faith in Josh and we are excited about working with him for a second season.

We are about to kick start our pre-season testing programme with a shakedown test at Donington with No Limits, we then go to Jerez in Spain with No Limits for three days testing and then on to the official BSB (MSVR) tests at Donington and Snetterton."
