The FIA World Rally Championship returns to the dust of Mexico this weekend for round three of the 2014 season. The only North American leg of the championship, it has quickly established itself as an extremely popular event. The Guanajuato-based rally is the first of six consecutive rounds held exclusively on gravel, meaning the teams and drivers will be using this rally to perfect their set-up on the loose stuff.Reigning champion Sebastien Ogier will hope to repeat his dominant victory of last year in order to leapfrog Jari-Matti Latvala into the lead of the current title race, while the Finn will need a vast improvement on his 2013 showing to keep the Frenchman at bay.Moving north of the border, we head to Nevada for live third round coverage of the NASCAR Nationwide Series from Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Once again, the Sprint Cup Series regulars dominated last weekend in Phoenix by securing the first five positions, as Kyle Busch took victory for the second consecutive year. It’s clear therefore that Nationwide Series leader Regan Smith will have to take a gamble or two in order to return to winning ways and extend his advantage over Trevor Bayne and Elliott Sadler. Meanwhile Sam Hornish Jr will look to send sparks flying and repeat his 2013 victory in the Entertainment Capital of the World. The High Speed Television Channel then heads to South-East Asia for continuing live coverage of the FIM Motocross World Championship from Si Racha, Thailand.Tony Cairoli’s bid for a sixth successive MXGP crown didn’t get off to an ideal start in Qatar last weekend as Maximilian Nagl claimed victory in race one, his first in two years, although it was Gautier Paulin who took the overall standings lead after winning the second moto. Cairoli claimed his first of five 2013 double victories in Thailand and will seek a similar result as he looks to re-establish himself at the championship summit.Meanwhile in the MX2 class, Jeffrey Herlings’ aim to secure three successive crowns got off to an ideal start with victory in the second heat, as the Dutchman claimed the overall championship lead. France’s Dylan Ferrandis narrowly denied the reigning title-holder in moto one to help secure his first MX2 World Championship victory. Could he be the one to challenge Herlings this season? We’re heading to Australia next for highlights of V8 Supercars' opening round, the Clipsal 500. Held on Adelaide’s former grand prix circuit, the start of the series is always highly anticipated, and with Volvo entering the fray this year, the excitement levels will be through the roof.Staying Down Under, we head to Mount Panorama for highlights of the extraordinary Bathurst 12 Hour, one of the world’s great endurance races. The undulating circuit provides a real feast for fans and drivers, with few sights in motorsport rivalling a 570-foot elevation change from the mountain’s peak.Saturday 8 March09:00 FIA World Rally Championship, Rd 3, Mexico – Highlights (Day 1)13:40 NASCAR Nationwide Series, Rd 2, Phoenix – Highlights16:50 V8 Supercars, Rd 1, Adelaide – Highlights21:00 LIVE NASCAR Nationwide Series, Rd 3, Las VegasSunday 9 March06:00 LIVE FIM Motocross World Championship, Rd 2, Thailand08:30 FIA World Rally Championship, Rd 3, Mexico – Highlights (Day 2)09:00 LIVE FIM Motocross World Championship, Rd 2, Thailand15:45 NASCAR Nationwide Series, Rd 3, Las Vegas – HighlightsMonday 10 March02:15 Bathurst 12 Hour, Mount Panorama – Highlights09:00 FIA World Rally Championship, Rd 3, Mexico – Highlights (Day 3)All times are GMT
