UK broadcaster ITV has retained the rights to broadcast free-to-air highlights coverage of the MCE British Superbike Championship.
The new five-year deal runs until the end of the 2018 season and will see ITV4 air an hour-long highlights show on Wednesday evenings following all 12 rounds of the national motorcycling series.
ITV will also show repeats and make the coverage available online, while an end-of-season two-hour review show will be broadcast at the end of each year.
The renewal was agreed between the broadcaster and MotorSport Vision (MSV), the series' commercial and media rights holder.
"I am delighted that we have extended our partnership with ITV to 2018, which in doing so will confirm ten consecutive years of MCE British Superbikes being broadcast free to air on ITV4,” said the series’ director Stuart Higgs.
“As we continue to develop the championship, ensuring that it remains accessible to as many people as possible is extremely important.”
