The Spanish company Maxi Endurance and the Autódromo Intenacional do Algarve have signed a five-year arrangement to celebrate the longest race in motorsport, in its first 32-hour non-stop edition, at the challenging Portimao. track on 12-14 December 2014.
The registration period will be open from the 1st of April and, for the first ten outfits to confirm their participation in the Maxi Endurance 32, the cost will be 25% less than the standard entry fee. The race is open to multiple vehicles such as GT cars, from different categories, gasoline or diesel touring cars, and FIA CN Prototypes and Radicals performing similarly.
Autódromo Internacional do Algarve is considered by many drivers to be one of the most thrilling racing tracks in the world. Its modern facilities, up and down slopes and different kind of corners will test even the most seasoned drivers, teams and racing cars. Enthusiasts of grave challenges, strategy and endurance races have now a new reference on which to prove their merits.
As the main objective is to have an affordable race with the greatest possible number of drivers and teams, Maxi Endurance 32 has decided to limit costs as much as possible. In line with that premise the number of tyres to be used during the race is limited, in accordance with the supplier and without compromising security, equaling the budget set for 24-hour races. The entry fee, including hotel and catering for eight people and three days, will make a noticeable contribution towards alleviating costs.
The chosen date at the end of the year, when every championship is finished and the race length are the result of a survey of over 40 teams participating in this kind of events. In sum, it is going to be an endurance party at the end of the season.
Every team joining Maxi Endurance 32 will be a pioneer of an historic milestone, an epic challenge, racing in the world´s longest race and they will all deserve to go down in motorsport history.
