Network Ten and Fox take MotoGP rights in Australia

Network Ten and Fox Sports Australia have secured the Australian media rights to the MotoGP World Championship for 2015 and 2016.

The two broadcasters have agreed terms with series owner and operator Dorna Sports. Network Ten will broadcast every MotoGP race live on its free-to-air Channel One network, with live streaming available on the Tenplay online platform.

Fox Sports will also carry live and on-demand race coverage, and will air live practice and qualifying sessions and races from other classes.

Both broadcasters will produce additional feature programming for the Australian Grand Prix in each year of their agreements.

"We're delighted that Australian audiences will be able to enjoy more extensive coverage of MotoGP over the next three years with Ten and Fox, via pay and free-to-air TV and online," said Dorna managing director Manel Arroyo.

"Australia has a thriving motorcycle community with very loyal MotoGP fans and we always enjoy our visit to Phillip Island, one of the most beautiful tracks on the calendar."
