SUZUKI DOMINATES INDOPRIX OPENER

Suzuki riders topped the podium at the opening round of the 2014 Indoprix Championship at Sentul International Karting Circuit in Indonesia yesterday.

Team riders Harlan Fadillah and Rafid Topan raced to first and second places in the opening 150cc class event; and then in the second race, Topan took the victory with Suzuki’s Ocvan Irfana in third position.

Suzuki’s Satria FU150 was ideally-suited to the tight-and-twisting Sentul circuit for this ‘underbone’ class; because of its light weight and powerful DOHC motor that features the Suzuki Composite Elecrochemical Cyclinder (SCEM), along with a strong ideally-suited six-speed gearbox.

In qualifying, Satria FU150 riders Topan, Andy Farhat, Nico Julian, Okvan Irfana and Fadillah took the top qualifying positions and in race one, Fadillah led from the start to take victory. In the second race, Suzuki riders dominated again, but after Fadillah crashed on lap 12 – and the race was stopped – the eventual victory on the re-start went to Topan, with Irfana third.
