MSA British Sporting Trials Championship

Round 7: Derbyshire Trial (Lancashire & Cheshire Car Club), 27 April

Former champion and current championship leader Ian Bell won the Derbyshire sporting trial from John Fack and early leader Simon Kingsley.

After the dry and low scoring morning rounds, Kingsley led on eight marks from Bell, Fack and Andy Wilks (RCAP) all tied on ten marks lost. Bell had the better afternoon round after showers made the ground slippery to take the win by two marks.

The top live axle car was Josh Veale (Sherpa) in fifth place ahead of reigning champion Tom Bricknell (Crosslé) in sixth. Richard Sharp (Cartwright) won the Novice Class from Ian Fullwood (CAP), while Mike Readings (Sherpa Indy) won the Intermediate Class from Bryan Walker (Jedi).
