Silverstone will be reliving the glory days of British motorsport, with a look back over 60 years of stunning historic racing machinery at the 2004 Silverstone Historic Tribute (Friday 4th to Sunday 6th June).
This unique event at the home of the British Grand Prix will provide a nostalgic line-up of classic cars, and hard, competitive racing, as some of the most sensational racing cars ever built, take to the track. The entire event will be centred on the infield at Silverstone and free entry to the open paddock and centre trade village will ensure fans gain unparalleled access to some of the most loved, and best presented classic racing cars in the country.
An impressive entry list of almost 600, including Formula One cars from the 1920s to the 70s and saloon cars from the 50s through to the 70s, will make for an outstanding weekend of entertainment and racing for all the family. In its inaugural year the Silverstone Historic Tribute will be a celebration of historic racing, featuring Britain’s leading racing clubs, including the HSCC, the BRDC and the VSCC, while the HGPCA, Group 4 Racing, and Grand Prix Masters will also be adding to the excitement on the world famous circuit.
In addition to the racing, H&H Car Auctions, Coys and Bonhams will be supporting the three-day event with a spectacular display of historic and classic cars, while for families and younger fans a traditional fun-fair will provide further entertainment away from the track.
Tickets for the 2004 Silverstone Historic Tribute will be available on the day at the main entrance, priced at £10 for a daily ticket, or £20 for all three days of the event - children aged 15 and under are able to attend free of charge**. This includes free seating in any of the available grandstands* and free on-site parking for all ticket holders.
