Scuderia Villorba Corse clinched the first points of the season in the opening round of the 2014 International GT Open at the Nurburgring.
Race drivers Andrea Montermini and Niccolò Schiro grabbed the fourth place in Saturday's race-1 behind the wheel of the Ferrari 458.
After the start, where the F1 driver and GT Open reigning champion took the lead from the second row, Montermini dominated the first half of the race.
Unfortunately, a safety car has neutralized his advantage before the mandatory pit-stops for driver change, when Schirò was back on track and ended the day in fourth bringing home some valuable points for the championship.
This morning the 20-years-old driver from Milan will be the first to get back on track for the second qualifying session. Then the Villorba crew and their Ferrari 458 will start race-2 at 12:55 CET.
The race will be broadcasted live on TV by many national broadcasters and on streaming by www.gtopen.net (clicking on WEB TV).
