Leading BRDC Formula 4 Championship squad SWR Caterham F1 Driver Development Programme Team is confident of a strong conclusion to the 2014 season when the category finale takes place at Snetterton 300 Circuit in Norfolk next weekend, 25th/26th October.Buoyed by an excellent run of results recently from first year F4 driver Jordan Albert, not least the 17-year-old’s maiden podium at Donington Park Grand Prix Circuit during the previous event, the Chipping Norton outfit is determined to end the campaign on a real high – particularly with Albert already confirmed with the team for November’s eight round Winter Series.Having made superb progress in recent events, taking a double top five finish at Brands Hatch GP Circuit at the end of August before making his deserved podium breakthrough at Donington, Albert has hoisted himself into the coveted top 10 in the driver standings.During the first visit of the year to Snetterton back in June, the Silverstone-based youngster took one of his best finishes of the season with eighth. Now, with four more BRDC F4 race weekends under his belt, the SWR Caterham driver is eyeing silverware on his return to the East Anglian venue.Diego Borrelli, meanwhile, has made continued progress throughout his maiden season of car racing and first year of competition in the UK. Having graduated from an impressive karting career at the beginning of the year, the Venezuelan has chipped away and developed well.Managed by Adrian Campos, the eponymous boss of the Spanish Campos Racing squad with whom SWR Caterham owner Sean Walkinshaw races in the EuroFormula Open, Borrelli has most certainly become a more consistent driver during the second half of the BRDC F4 campaign.That said, his best results to date came during the second meeting of the year at Brands Hatch, a seventh place finish, and then at Oulton Park International Circuit in July where he claimed a top eight as the first half of the campaign drew to a close.Like team-mate Albert, 16-year-old Borrelli will be aiming to end his rookie season on a high during the final three rounds at Snetterton a week from now where he has a chance of breaking into the top 15 in the championship.“We’re all really looking forward to the finale, especially after such a strong and positive weekend at Donington”, said team owner Walkinshaw, “It’s been a very competitive year in BRDC F4, but Jordan and Diego have acquitted themselves very well and they have developed impressively. Obviously, it’d be fantastic to end the season with another podium and that’s what we’re aiming for.”Snetterton 300 Circuit qualifying will take place at 10.05 on Saturday, 25th October, with round 22 following at 14.15.
